I'm looking to buy an R380, but have no expearence on these newer boxes, some Q's maby some of you guys might be able to answer for me. Thanks in advance

When did they first get installed into Discos (only asking cause the one I'm looking at is out of a Disco) ?

Are they essentially the same box from disco to defender?

Which leads me to, can a disco R380 be bolted into a Defender?

What do the suffix's mean?

And is there any particular suffix which is better than the other?

The box was fitted to the 300TDi vehicles which is approx 94/95 MY on.

Yep... They're the same box from Disco to Defender. The box also shares the same design as the earlier 5spd but with a few slight changes.
