    Bilstein Discovery Shocks onto perentie

Are discovery 1 1997 shocks compatible with the perentie? I'm selling the discovery soon but I only put some bilsteins in about 5000k's ago and they're as new. Was thinking about swapping them over before I sell. The only thing I can think of is I think the billies might be + 2" but I'm not certain. Any advice from the gurus? I'd assume bilsteins would be an improvement over the perentie shocks.

    Cheers fellas

The fronts should but dont know about the rears, i would think they use the same eye and pin mountings as most landy's do.

Thanks loanrangie. I'll have to have a look on the weekend . I believe the later disco 1 required different shocks to the earlier ones due to a cup near the mounting eye. Apparently you can just cut this cup off but I guess the real question is can you do it the other way around and install the one designed for the use with the cup on a 110 without it? I'm guessing yes.

You dont need the cup, the washers on the shocks do the same job so just either ignore the cups or use the washers.

The Disco Billies might be a little light on in rebound, particularly on the rear, but fit and try.

Yeah that's what I was thinking but the part numbers for early discos and defenders appears to be the same.

and the RRC carried the same part number, but the 110 had over twice the spring rate.
