AAAAAaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhh.
Sorry Weeds - I was down that way but left before I saw your message.
PM me on that issue.
As regards the battery thing:
I went to the address provided. It was closed and deserted.
Luckily there was a small sign redirecting me to:
New Qld Address:
128 Gardens Drive
Willawong Qld.
(not too far from the old place).
Anyway they quoted me:
Supercharge Classic N70ZZ $90
Supercharge Gold MF95D31R $99 (retail from elsewhere is $143)
With such a small differential I naturally took the latter, maintenace free option. It really is a PITA checking battery fluid levels where they sit under the seat in a Defender. Now I won't have to.![]()
THANK YOU BELLAPOSS :!:![]()
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

HelloFirst off I would like to advise all QLD memebers that Supercharge has relocated to new bigger premises. We are now at 128 Gardens Drive Willawong, 4110. Phone 07 32720688. The new place is only a couple of K from the old one. Head down Learoyd Rd towards Inala and left into Paradise rd, and Gardens is second road on the left, if you hit the dirt road you missed it.
The difference between the classic batteries and the Gold range is that the Gold is a truely maintenance free battery with more cranking and more plates per cell. MF95D31R 760cca, 17 plates ppc, N70ZZ 660cca, 14 ppc. I use the Gold series in my work truck because I have a small fridge and I wanted as much power as I could get , also being maintenance free I no longer have to worry about the mechanic over filling the batteries with water when I got a service done (he did it everytime).
Our staff are always happy to answer any questions that you might have, so dont be shy and give them a call. Warehouse hours are 7.30am to 4 pm Mon to Fri......cheers
need the battery sometime before easter, hopefully i will be down that way before then, good excuse to take a company car for a run
Are they still giving this discount? I need a deep cycle battery for my Disco 2nd battery.Originally Posted by seqfisho

Yeah it was a Motorlite (USA) 90ah deep cycle but it ****e itself the day we went to leave for outback Qld, luckily they covered it under warranty (6months) and I purchased in Jan but despite it being Sept they swapped it for a new one today (8 months after purchase) so despite the inconvienience on the day we were to leave (had to buy a replacement from Batteryworld the morning we were leaving as Supercharge wern't open) the service has been excellent.Originally Posted by Utemad
for those of you with the want...
check out the jaycar battery zapper, if the batteries not too badly dead and holds voltage without a load reasonabley (a bout 3 days after a charge) well try one of these...
my old deep cycle fridge battery was down to only being able to run my fridge for about a day as aposed to the threeish before the low volt cut out turned it all off...
I borrowed one and after sitting on the battery for about 3 weeks the battery now holds the fridge for 2 days..
half the cost of the battery and if it gets me another year out of every battery Im happy

I don't know if this is relevant, but the battery in the X1/9 has been in there since new, a Magnetti Marelli, circa 1976. Should be a museum piece by now but works fine. (The exhaust system is also the original item, without problems).
