Thread: transfer case oil leak......

I've got an oil leak coming from what i think is the intermediate shaft.......

theres a big nut on the back of the transfer case at the top which is loose....and has oil dripping from it.......
i think the shaft might be on a spline or a keyway.......the nut won't tighten and i didn't want to force it incase it is on a keyway.....its only an alloy housing.....

is this a common problem......?
easy fix.....?

my rave disc only works on windows......and I'm using a mac......
