Has anyone bought these plastic/poly coil spacers that are on eBay?? I'm thinking about the 50mm ones, only because I don't want to loose the nice squishy factory coils I have now, by replacing them with Kings or Pedders etc. Been there done that on my D1. While it all looked impressive, it rode like..........horrible.
Thing I'm not sure about, is the squish/squirm thing. I can picture them squirming, and getting pinched out of place by the coils.
Advice?? I would love to be wrong with this theory.

Just pulled the shock out of my d1 .
They had standard springs with poly 40mm spacers. And ome shocks.
They seamed ok to drive.
On my d2 the fronts look like they have factory fitted ones. They are black and have written on them.
Only use with standard springs..

Is there anything holding them into place other than the weight of the Spring? Do they look squished at all?

No just the weight.and now damage to them at all.
Im sure the d2 are longer from factory over the d1. And the td5 front are heavy duty due to the extra weight.
But I be asking the forum for some info about using the factory black blocks with uprated springs.
In my opinion. If you going off road I be trying to stay with softer springs. Touring i be going medium springs and for towing putting bags in to help with the load.
Just my thought and my experience.
Others will have theirs....

SubscriberGet LRA to match a set of springs for you and forget about the spacers.
