    InCab Winch Controls

I may be in the wrong area.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for wiring winch controls in cab using factory switches?

    Much appreciate information.

I have all the extra factory switches for powering up the winch & 2 for winch in/out.

Just need to know what the wires on the back of the factory switches control.

    Cheers
    David

Does this help? Basically a double pole, double throw momentary switch wired in parallel to where the factory switch is wired in.

I have a cheapy Aldi winch which I just installed today. I'll be running an isolator n the cab, but using the factory hand controller if needed as it's wireless.

My winch has a remote as well which works from inside the cab and I am sure you could adapt a remote to your Warn.

One of tbe easiest things to do is to wire up an extension cable one thst plugs in at the winch socket, routes through the firewall into the cab, preferably near the rear of the vehicle a d then you kust plug your standard controller and cable into that..

The reason you out it at the back is for those situations where you cant safely operwte from the front of the vehicle and theres nowhere to stand but behind your vehicle. It also helps with keeping the excess cable length out of your way.

If your aldi controller is like mine and has the detachable cable... duplicate that and then leave a 3 foot flylead that retracts to tbe center co sole, under the drivers seat or the b pillar.

If you get really into it...

Break open the co troller, replace the battery in there with 12v nicad/nimh and a charge regulayor then you ca also have the flylead cable wired up to charge the hand piece when its nnot in use
