Drivers side door handle

From when I brought the defender the inside door handle has never return all the way to its orginal position, recently it has been sticking out a bit more til now the door does not open form the inside and I have to wind the window down and use the outside door handle.

Any tips before I pull the door trim off this weekend.

When I got the 130 none of the locks worked and at one point I was on the outside, everything was locked and the key wouldn't work.

Dodgy man's friend WD40 washed all the bulldust out of the locks and locking mechanisms. Worked like a dream.

Now everyone's going to say how it will only attract more dust or something, but the locks and handles actually work smoothly and once you'vre sprayed enough of that stuff around the inside of the door, you don't have to worry about door support rust either.

and while you have the door trim off would be a good time to spray some underbody sealer/ sound deadener inside the door.....

stops rusting and quietens things a little.....
do not spray onto any of the moving parts of locks or windows.....and make sure you do not block up the drain holes in the bottom of the doors...

Hi Guys
I wouldnt use WD40/CRC style sprays, the dust sticks to it and increases your problem.
The answer is graphite powder, works beter its clean and easy.Look for a puffer bottle at your local hardware shop, between $5 and $10,lasts ages.

Ah, they just can't resist the WD40 knocking.

Graphite is great, but it won't clear the bulldust.

Cheers
