The supplier is Advance Diaphram Options Phone 07 5428 0808

They recommended the Carb n Gas man to me but they will also post out a reconditioned one to you and allow you to post back your old one.

Then you just need to get someone to fit it.

IMHO - get a professional to do it - it looked like a finniky job for a first timer, I certainly wouldn't try.

I told MR about these reco ones about 2 years ago because they were still selling the factory unit $$$, not sure if they ever started to stock them. Dwaune reckons they fit a couple a week and were just chucking the dead ones. Tell them to save them and send them up to the bloke at cabulture to rebuild them, I think Dwane even lives up there.

Not hard to check, just suck on the pipe see if it holds air and the rod in the dizzy moves. Most of them don't work fom what I've seen, make a big differance to fuel eccon.

Yes - Tom from the LROC showed me the 'suck it and see method' and it IS in fact buggered.

Increased fuel economy WOULD be nice.

This and a slightly advanced static setting will make a big differance to KM per tank. May as well set the base idle and TPS while your playing and it will be happy.

Just replaced mine, Genuine LR one was $313 thru local agent, did make a big difference to economy, still yet to do timing and advance it a bit thou, Ultimate's a bit dear at the momment $1.34litre so i don't want it too advanced that it pings on ULP.

Get the reco unit and drive over the bridge and I'll help you do it. It will take about 2 stubbies time, to fit, time and check the TPS (throttle position switch) setting. They will normally run Ok without pinging at about 8*BTDC as long as the heads haven't been faced to much, It will go quicker and use less fuel. The 2*BTDC factory setting is for emisions not pinging. The reco ones seem to last longer than the factory ones.
