    Nanocom fault code.

    G'day all.
Well I put the Nano on to the old girl this afternoon just to check on things as I do from time to time and I got a fault code.

(31,4) Injector 4 open circuit detected (logged)

I have searched but still can't find a definitive answer as to what could be wrong.
Could it be oil in the harness?
    Faulty injector?
    Cylinder ballances appear normal
    Car drives fine
    Ideas??

    Regards
    Robbo

Most probably you need a new injector loom

Clear the code, and go for a drive or ... seven ...

    Does the fault return ?

My D2 logged 3 or 4 fault codes when I first scanned it ... Cleared them, and not one of them has ever re-occurred.

Sometimes it's just the nature of the beast me thinks

You also get these faults if the battery is low in charge.
I had them when I was driving home from buying mine, and it stopped due to a dirty earth terminal on the battery.

Check the upper plug at the rocker cover too for oil, if you find oil there the loom is already gone... the main issue with the injector loom is not the oil which gets by capilary action untill the ECU, the problem is with the contacts at the plugs which are connected to the solenoids cos there is the root of most symptoms, oil reaching the ECU is just an additional issue for that
