Looking for a Speedo Correction unit Installer

I need to organise a speedo correction unit for my Discovery manual series 2 TD5 and am wondering if anyone knows of an installer on the Gold Coast who would look at fitting the unit - too many electrics for me and lack of correct tools!! The variables are;
Running 265/75R16 muds (31.7")
Have 4.11 diff gears fitted
Need to reactivate Cruise Control
Manual gear box
I am looking at buying the Truspeed unit which I believe comes out of Iceland and by all accounts seems a good unit.

Hope someone can help, the knock on effect of modifiying is never ending is it?! :roll: :roll:

I know that they are not on the Gold Coast but Marks Adapters in Victoria are currently advertising speedo correctors in the 4wd Trader Magazines at the moment - I have no idea of how they work or if they are any good.

Thanks Gazzz

I think I am set on the Truspeed unit for now so it is just someone to fit the thing I need now.

There is a guy called Otto Instruments. Their details are below. They aren't on the cost, but they are famous for good work

and just a little trick i learnt on one of these pages......

if you want to know what speed you are doing after mods to your vehicle...
a digital speedo of a push bike will work as it is variable due to the different sizes of wheels on different bikes......

at around $50 dollars its gotta be a cheaper option.......
and if anyone has a gps you can compare the speeds to make sure it is set right....(to check speed using a gps you must be travelling in a straight line)

Not sure but maybe Max instruments or Lionel Otto in Brisbane, both are at Moorooka. Or try Keith Fiddler at Autolec at Stones corner, Keith is a mate of mine from the Jag club. I'll be seeing him on Wednesday as I have to take a TDI Disco there for A/C work.

Why not just use a GPS, can`t get much more accurate than that.
