How to seal a tapered thread?

Good stuff stag is, i have used it on lpg fittings and coolant hose fittings on the tdi.

No idea what stag is but given I've just cleaned the 1" BSPT thread on my 2.25 petrol and about to put the Welch plugs back, is that a job for stag?

They are perfect jobs for Stag... or, stag is perfect for those jobs...

Stag is a rusty coloured magical goop that one mastered will allow you to conduct a number of minor miracles when it comes to making things seal.

one of its key niceities is its rust coloured so it fits right in on most old iron engines.

Thanks folks, sounds like I'm off to but some stag!

can be gotten from auto pro, good supercheaps, autobahn, ive seen it in bunnings, and mitre 10. Large truck shops carry it

My leak seems to be fixed. I went with this stuff.

Can I just smear some stag around the non threaded Welch plugs too, or put those in dry?
