<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>How I put my Springs in (+2')
Body on Stands, wheels off, axle hanging by leading arms,
Shocks undone from the bottem
brake lines off (replaced by longer ones)
Bottle jack (LR one will do) Placed on Panhard Rod mount (left or Right) which lines up with the chassis
moves axle away from the vehicle, to give room to remove the springs

exactly what hook said! only if you dont have/need longer brake lines
just undo the caliper from the disc.

i have just had time to have a better look at what's already there, the car undercarriage was covered in chassis black when i bought it, so when i have scrapped a bit of this off the shocks i have found that they are old man emu nitrochargers & i found a tag on the coil that was an old man emu spring. from these i rang ARB and asked what the part number shown was for. the springs in there are heavy duty with a 30mm lift. it has to be said that these spring are an absolute load of bulls**t. they make you feel every little bump in the road & across sand dunes you feel like your teeth are going to rattle out. first thing i will do when i get time is change them for a set of springs from rangie spares as so many people recommend them, i will se how the OME shocks fare then or whether to change them also.

I put ARB stuff under my Disco, mainly because the stock suspension bottomed out going over a speed bump let alone what it was like bush. The kit I had put under was a 65mm lift which settled at a bit over 50mm with a bull bar and winch added as well.

I put heavy duty springs in the rear which are very good carrying a big load but a bit harsh running it empty. I can only comment on what my stuff has been like, which so far after about four years is very good but now starting to get to the point where I need new shockies, this time round I am going to look into brands which have the incab variable rate controls to see if they can hold up to the riggours of long corrigated dirt road driving.

Does any one have any experience in these?

I've got king heavy duties in the back. They're great, the originals were really good too, only changed them for the lift. I put Defender front springs in the front. They feel great on road but are a bit hard and way too stiff offroad. Not enough travel, the back wheels will come right out of the guards under full flex but the fronts lift too easily.
Bilstiens all round, great shocks, but I'm comparing them to the ones that were in the vehicle when I bought her. They were the original shocks and were knackered at 9 years old.
I think when I sell the old girl I'll take out the suspension and put in some cheap shocks and the original springs.
