fuel tanks
Hey everyone, just a question for folks to think about?? I was reading the workshop manual for 90/110 when I came across a picture/s showing the location of the fuel in each vehicle.... I own a county(110) is there any reason that a 90 fuel tank couldn`t be fitted as a second tank??? even if it was only used as a drop tank. can any of the techo geeks out there give me an idea ( thats without hitting me for that reference...LOL)
cheers

If you get a factory fitted second tank, they stick it under the drivers seat... i.e. The same space as the 90 tank. The only thing that's different is how it's filled.
On the 90, the filler cap is external where as the aux tank has to be filled by removing the seat & base to get to the filler cap.

I think you'll find that the 90 tank is a bit long for a 110 5 door, and would extend into the second row foot well, which is about where the bulk head is for a 90 or 110 ute. A 109 ute tank is the same.
Also the 90/110 ute filler is usually just behind the B pillar ( where the second door is on a 5 door )
A custom alloy under seat tank shouldn't be too hard to make ( or get made ) but then you would loose you secret tool box 8)
