Central Locking
I have recently had problems with the central locking door locks on my 97 Disco. Two of them have been very slow to actuate and sometimes don't move at all. I removed the door trim, split the weather seal and unscrewed the locking servo unit. took a trip to Autobarn and found they sell central locking kits, 4 servo units, a whole bunch of wiring looms etc, for about $53. The servo units are not identicle but the securing holes line up perfectly and they are the correct length. Fitted two of the new units, cut of the old plugs and soldered on the new ones from the wiring loom and away we went. Cheap and very easy. The units are Vision ML500, available from Autobarn.
Don't how much LR would charge for one let alone 4. Perhaps someone out there knows.

Good one Shifter
The other thing to watch for with the 97 era Disco is the springs in the lock/latch mechanism. When they break ( they rust/wear through) , the lock button looses its positive up/down snap action, so the central locking actuator leaves it in the middle with mixed results.
The fix is to make new springs from suitable Bunnings issue long coil springs - cheap and easy
On my list of "things to do" is fit CL to my 86 County
