2.4 Puma Rough idle/Miss. Map Sensor? Injectors?
Gday Gday,
I've got a 2.4 puma 2011 and it seems to idle rough (only rely when cold). Its almost like a miss fire or like a much larger capacity engine "camming over".
A few theories, one is the injectors are a bit sticky, could be, going to throw an injector cleaner in anyway and a 50mls of 2 stroke oil in the fuel on a full tank.
Two, The oil that carries in on the EGR system into the intake has fowled up the map sensor. Im thinking most likely as there is a fair bit of oil through it. Looking at an EGR block and a catch can.
Has anyone else experienced this? when it warms up it seems fine, but on first start up its quite ordinary.
Any and all info would be great!
Cheers

Try cleaning your MAF and MAP sensors first. Make sure you use a "sensor" cleaner, not just an electrical cleaner.

Sounds like a PCV valve problem, if you do a google search for "Transit PCV Valve" there's plenty of info.
