    Polyair hose connection

    HI all

Recently my left hand rear polyair bag was not been holding air. I had a look at it today and noticed that the original crimped fitting that held the hose onto the barb fitting on top of the air bag had rusted away.

Can I buy these fittings or is there an alternative?

    Thanks

I rang Polyair direct. Their suggestion was winding on an 8mm nyloc nut. They say this is better than a crimp connector.

    I'll give this a try

After i fitted a pair of these poly air bags to my ex's vt commy, I took them off for a similar reason. The clamps just weren't holding and the air lines would blow off. Ive fitted raised heavy duty springs instead so when the gas tank and fuel tank are full, and 2 kids are in the back, the 2 amps and sub woofer and the pram, the tyres dont scrape. Standard width 17" tyres (235/45/17). I feel sorry for the poor old dunny door. 😆

    Cheers, Rod
