    6HP26. Will it fit?

    Has anyone tried, or know of someone who has, fitting the ZF 6HP26, the one fitted to the Falco/Territory, in a D2? Pretty sure the 26X is what's in the D3/4, but of course they're heaps dearer, and the L322, which is probably dearer again.

    Now, I'm just dreaming ATM, but I reckon it could be a good match for a TD5.

    Need some serious electrickery to make it work but anything can be made to bolt up... better to just buy a D3...

    It is factory fit in the PX Ranger and the SZ Territory diesel, though there are a number of differences to the 6HP26, but yes, it is effectively a 6HP26 built under license by Ford.
