It is a development of the 2.25 engine, so I expect that any flywheel housing/bell housing that bolts to the 2.25 will bolt to it. But since it was never sold in Australia, definitive answers will probably have to come from overseas readers.

Head looks to be cast iron, is this head Direct injection or pre-combustion and could it possibly fit a 300TDI, Injector nozzle holes are different, let me know, please if you ever pull the head off, would be obliged, Regards Frank.
Was not direct injection as it utilised a pre-combustion chamber. It came mated as standard to the LT77 gearbox and the LT230 transfer gearbox. I drove a 90 turbo diesel for six years and it was a very good vehicle.
If you used SHPD engine oils you could go 6.000 miles between oil and filter changes otherwise it is 3.000 miles. Anyway I have the Land Rover workshop manual so if you need any info let me know. I can scan and e-mail or photocopy and post.
