Is this normal or do I have a problem?
Turbos do leak oil past the seals. A teaspoon wouldn't worry me, but a cup full would suggest a failing turbo. Does it blow blue smoke? How many K's has it done?

I had one let go on the Scania, and it blew enough smoke to suggest I'd blown the engine, but it still ran fine.

What's going on? I opened this thread and there were no replies, and then I posted my little bit and all of a sudden there were two pages!

Anyway. Agree about the Provent. I need one on the 300. But I also need a new turbo cartridge.

New inter cooler fitted. I have also replaced the plastic valve thingy that is in the hose between the rocker cover and the intake hose.

I have just removed the intercooler to inlet manifold hose and there is a heap of oil sitting in the outlet tube of the intercooler.

Does this suggest that the turbo is stuffed?

Is there any other reason/way that so much oil could be here?

I have also noticed that it is starting to use oil.

It has only done 220,000 km with a very good service history.

Until recently I loved this car, but I am contemplating a divorce.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."
