Actually Mahn, I've got a nice thin pair of tweezers that I've ground the ends of a bit. If I can't pull the bit out I'll try Tonys idea of trying to push it from the back. Don't know if this is even remotely possible.
Your reply got me thinking though, if I pull the lock out, will the rest of the car fall apart around it 8O
8) and if you're really game, put a poofteenth of superglue onthe bit you have in your hand and push it in and wait a long time and pull it out
firts make sure the lock is in the off position.
and then dismantle the car starting at the rear bumper to remove the steering lock,
you will also need a 400 lb hoist to remove the engine so you have access to the steering colom bolt and have a carton of crownies for those moments where deep thought may be required.
I've done exactly the same thing a few years ago and the super glue works a treat!

I've done this, what i did was dab a bit of super glue on the end of the key then attach it to the broken bit in the lock wait then pull out, worked for me, try it can't hurt.

Ended up using a large screwdriver and hammer.
Didn't get it out, but the key turns now :wink:
