Transfer case seal done

I finnaly did the seal today. It was actually very easy. Probably because I set aside the entire weekend incase things went wrong. I also cleand the hand brake so its works again. 8)
One question how tight should the filler plug be as I couldn't get it undone so have to go back to check the level.
Also finally cleaned the mud off today.

the plugs usually have the threads sealed with some sort of blue sealant
from factory.....this makes them feel tight without actually being overtight...

its best to use sealant or thread tape on all filler and drain plugs.....
just make sure that when applying...
it is not on the end of the plug so as to foul/contaminate the oil....

the plugs should be tight....you dont want them falling out.....
but i dont mean use your biggest breaker bar.....you dont want to strip threads....
just with a normal ratchet or spanner........
and the diff plugs are a tapered thread....if these are overtightened they will screw straight through the housing....as they open the hole more and
more due to the taper......
so seal the threads and dont overtighten......but do make sure they are tight...
