Hi folks,
I'm finally around to installing my SC-80 from Traxide. It's all pretty straightforward, but I have one question. The car has a driver operated solenoid that can put the two batteries into parallel for say winching, or jump starting purposes. With the old VSR this wasn't an issue. Is it ok to leave this function in place with the SC-80? I don't want to hurt it![]()

I've been running a SC80 for years with manual battery switch that performs that same function, so assuming your solenoid control has the ability to manually link/unlink the batteries it will be OK.
There used to be a diagram on the Traxide site that showed a manual switch with 2 batteries and SC80, but I can't see it on there now.
