    Rover V8 (Buick 215ci) chainsaw

    It uses a Rover 3.5V8 (Buick 215ci) that has been dyno-tuned. Note the straight exhausts. Weighs 525lbs.
    Does a 30 inch log in just over a second.
    It has a lightweight racing starter motor, a control panel with tacho and a few other guages, and a heap of custom-machined metalwork to hold it together.

    The "redneck" that drives it worked for Boeing as a CNC machine operator for 10 years or so. He is also smart enough to set up a blog, and monkey with digital pictures.

    The operating speed is 7,000 rpm, which gets doubled at the chain drive, so I figure the chain is doing 250km/h.
