anyway worse case I can supply brand new alternator for Tdi for $480
a HS2.8 alternator is $550 BUT includes a built in (rear) vacuum pump so you can **** that oil leaking thing worth a fortune off the side of your block :wink:
I have one (HS2.8 alt) coming in with my next engines to confirm it will bolt straight on without any mods to mount (It looks the same but I didn't want to pull one off a brand new engine to try it)

Tdi one is 105a
HS one is only 85A BUT its output curve is better
(it puts out same / more at say 2000 RPM only falls behind at 3000RPM)
