I think a white face might be easier to read, but I guess it's a personal preference.

The gauges that came fitted to my 200tdi Disco have a smoked screen and are not that easy to see in the daytime, so i am wanted to swap them for something a bit easier to use.
Seen this on ebay
Diesel 0-30 Boost and 800 Degree EGT Pyro Exhaust Temp Dual Gauge and 60mm Cup . | eBay
All in one should make fitting a bit easier, and i would prefer an analog type over digital.
Anyone use them? Any feedback as to good bad or otherwise would be appreciated.

Can't comment on these specifically, but I got the cheapest Chinese gauges when I did mine (money was tight ) and two years later both boost and egt are still working perfectly, so if you like the look it's unlikely they will be unreliable, they're not a complicated mechanism .

Nice looking gauges
I found that the alarm function on digital gauges is very handy but other than that they look good

I have the autotecnica and all works well for past year since I got it. I like changing the colour occasionally.
I recently fitted autotecnica (separate boost and egt), and both failed in less than a week.

I have these Racetech gauges and am very happy with them.

The alarm is annoying as it goes on each startup but can be disabled. You can set a max boost so that a red light comes on.
I have white and blue lighting but if rebuying would buy less bright colours. The blue is brighter than the white.
The boost gauge is accurate compared to the Nanocom, and the Pyrometer reacts very quickly, but who knows its accuracy.

Sounding a bit like a luck of the draw thing......
Philip, are the faces of those gauges smoked? Thats main gripe i have with the ones i have, makes it hard to read during daylight, even with the backlights.
Yes they are smoked but believe me if you get the blue /whites there is no trouble to read them as they are BRIGHT . I initially had white during the day and blue at night but I couldn't stand the brightness at night.Philip, are the faces of those gauges smoked? I changed to blue by day and white by night and they are better.
I called the seller and asked if they could show red which they do on turn off, but the only way was to return the gauges for different coloured ones.
Every now and then I think I will cover the faces with window tint but they are OK and I couldn't be stuffed to do it.
I think green would be better.

I also have the racetech gauge. I hooked mine up so it's white all the time. (Alternative was green which was As mentioned quite bright)
The alarm on startup can be turned off if you hook the gauge up to constant power ( don't worry it still turns off with ign.)
Also if you buy racetech for boost and egt you only Need to wire one up as they come with 'daisy chain' wiring to power the 2nd gauge up off the first.
