    D100 Building - The Chassis

Well this is how the project really started!!! This is a D110 rolling chassis in original and complete form.

This is the position of the original chassis outrigger and the cross members - these will have to be removed and placed 10" further back.

I was unable to do the work on the chassis - mainly due to injury, but not sure my welding skills are upto such an important job!!!
So I enlisted a mate of mine who has many years of experience in chassis building and modifying Land Rovers for racing purposes.

Here the rear tub and the chassis are being towed away to both be shortened - both to different tradesman.

You can just make out the black line on the front of the tub marking the 10" to be cut off.

Its looking good LRH, when do you hope to have the project finished? Have you got a time frame or is it like my project- a bit at a time when you have time (and money)? Matt

no rush, but cannot do much at the moment anyway.

I hope to have it finished within the next 12-18 months - all depends on how much more I develop the Rangie!!!
