Actually I think that my dad would be interested in one of those for his D2 as well.
Hi everyone. I read recently about a rated recovery hook for D2's that replaces the OEM towing hook and is made by Bruce Davis. As I'm new to the Forum could someone please supply me with a contact for Bruce?
many thanks

Also try 4x4 Design and Engineering - Michael Samootin - 0412 227 085. Just bought some front recovery points for my D2 from Michael - send me a PM with your e-mail and I'll send you some pics - haven't had to use them yet but they look the business.
Aye, Mick
Mine from 4x4DE worked fine when I had to be recovered from doing more rear bumper shaping than was needed the other week :roll:Originally posted by MickG

Those are the boys, you pleased with them seqfisho? I had to remove my steering protector to fit them although i'm sure with a bit of remodeling I could get it back on again - happy to leave it off just now though.Originally posted by seqfisho
Aye, Mick
apparently these ones can cause chassis twist under extreme load.
They tell me the Bruce Davis ones are not cheap but the ducks nuts!!!
They are what i am going to fit.
cheers
thanks everyone. I'll ring Bruce for some info. The one's pictured do look strong
So why can these ones cause chassis twist more than any other?
What do Bruce Davis ones look like? Photo?
They don't cause chasis twist at all!
The 4x4DE recovery points are great, real strong amd a pretty good price.
I have had some monstrous snatches on mine and a triple reduction winch pull without a problem.
Michael also posted up today on the D2 site that he is having a christmas special on some of his stuff and the recovery points wer selling for $99.
Mick, I helped Simon Arch a couple of months ago fit his steering guard with the recovery points. It just took a little bit of work with the angle grinder and everything was sweet.
