I'm sure there'll be other questions as time goes by.

and there already is....where's the dipstick for the auto? My D1 had one :?
    There isn't one 8O 8O

Best left for the professionals when dealing with the auto. For about $200 you can get it serviced with a filter change & fluid. The reason is you need to be underneath topping it up while your car is running and being worked through the gears..suggests a two person operation. You stop when fluid starts to drip out of the filler hole. You also don't get all the old fluid out in one hit, so there is always old fluid still circulating around.

    Work that one out :!: :!: :!:

They are still the ZF 4HP22 gearbox, except the D2 has electronic control. From what I understand, a D1 sump and dipstick should go onto the D2 auto. Not that the auto should use oil, but the other advantage is that you can see how much you hae burnt the tranny oil after flogging it.

    cheers alex

p.s. Greenman where in mornington are you as I'm off Maxwell st ?
16 degrees is about right when down at the snow.
I like the CC because it maintains the temp through out the day/night, where a straight AC requires a little more vigilance and bother. I never really have to touch the controls of the CC as its almost always "just right".
