    Battery Light when Towing

    G'day everyone;

    Looking for a little info regarding a problem I have with my 2008 RRS 3.6 TdV8.
    When I hook up my caravan the battery warning light will come on after about 20 mins.
    When checked, (professionally) alternator is OK and Battery is fine.
    Does not happen when caravan not connected and warning light will extinguish after a few starts without caravan.
    2 check engine codes generator field fault and generator field failed.
    These codes are not indicating real fault.

    All input would be greatly appreciated.

    Measure the voltage on the battery with engine running when the warning comes on and unplug the caravan and see if the voltage is rising then or not... if the voltage is low with caravan connected and good with it unplugged there is some big drain in the caravan's or trailer wiring's circuit

    Yes 2 x deep cycle batteries.
    Found some very dodgy wiring at the rear fuse holder, made some repairs I have yet to try them out.
    Cheers.
