I have run the Coopers Discover H/T 18" for 6 months now and have found them to be very good in all terrain. This is the only decent 4x4 tyre I have found until now in 18" rims. I would love if Coopers put out an ST in 18" I am hopeing by the next tyre change that this might happen.![]()
I have had someone else mention that BGF might have a MT in this size but yet to check it out.
Would like to know myself if anyone knows if a 18" 255mm size 4x4 MT tyre is around or arriving soon.

Anybody know of a dealer in WA for Grabbers? I tried accessing this info. through the website but nothing came up.
I asked a tyre retailer a year or so ago in Perth and hsi response was " I wouldn't sell that s**t"!!!!!
Nice bloke and definitely won't be going to him for anything.
I've got 235 x 85 x 16 ATs which were fitted as standard on the Extreme when I bought it new and they've now done 46000klms with heaps of tread left and very little damage even after the GRR and Kalumabru Rd etc.
I just hope that any replacements I get are made to the same formula and not down graded for some reason!

Baz, I was under the impression that the Pirelli Scorpions are good tyres.

General Tires in the US (Owned by Continental) offer the 18" in 255/55/18 and also 255/60/18 in an AT pattern. The 60 profile is available in a few weeks and you can get these in Sydney via ARB in St Peters for $340 each fitted. These guys are the only manufacturer of AT's to suite the standard Disco 18" wheels.
I am just about to get some for myself.
Thanks for the info on the Simex Grabbers they look like they will be the best 4x4 tyre for 18" rims available. When these Coopers where out I also will look at getting a set through ARB.
pirellis look good. Just came up trumps in a comparison in 4x4 Monthly

Can't vouch for the 18' Pirellis but he 16's on my car are great, only doone gravel roads and beach work so far but I would say that they are close to 80% as good as the MTR's I replaced them with. (sick of the noise)
In the gravel they tend to slid ever so slightly then hang on, and for the sand they seemed to have no probs at all. I will be using the in mud and in a 4wd park in the next coule of weeks. (so can update)
A mate in the club had them on a surf and got over 70k out of them. (MTR's not quite that good)
Hope this helps
Danny
