Now that is a mature response. I wasn't meaning to criticize you, just thought is was different. We have heaps of cars being knocked off in Melbounre at the moment, and they all have market value in one way or another. Thieves are scouting streets to find the cars they want and breaking into the houses to steel the keys. I thought you where referring to this.

SupporterYes like mentioned before i do like this idea, but i have fiddled with the inertia switch before and have come across this issue: when the inertia switch circuit is opened, the car will be disabled plus the hazards will flash until i remove the battery cable.. this is not a feasible solution as far as a kill switch mod goes. As far as i am aware though, other vehicles dont need the battery cabled to be removed to re-enable the vehicle.. very strange

SupporterDont Stress mate, the interesting thing about texting/social media etc is that we cannot see each others face when we "speak".. which often leads to people getting the wrong message!
yes i was actually referring to people getting a kick/using vehicles for ram raids etc. Being someone who stresses a lot, it is mostly to ease my mind when i park it up
I think i will go with the Injector supply cut off.. Rangieman has basically led the way with the resistor.

SupporterAnother simple one is to insert a switch in the ignition relay's fuse F14(interior fusebox) this would leave the ignition coils without feed
Discovery Td5 (2000), manual, tuned
Am I missing something here? Why not just have a switch in series with the circuit which is completed when the ignition key is turned?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

+1 For what SierraFerry said.
Mainly because if the thieves have your keys and unlock your car you might not hear anything. Once they start trying to start the engine, it'll turn over but not start. At least then you might be alerted that something is amiss by the noise of your car not starting.
