If you have windup which is causing the difflock to jam on , just jack up one front wheel.

That still might not unwind it.Quote:
Bouncing her up the gutter to home when turning in drivers front spins like anything
Look if you jack up a wheel and put the transfer in neutral you should be able to turn the wheel and hear any crunching noises. Put the transfer in high then try to turn the front driveshaft back and forward. It should disengage.
Check that the spigot turns when you go from lock to unlock and if the nut is tight.
The diff lock mechanism is this bloody great coarse dog clutch which is held in place by the selector forks connected to the selector shaft.
It is possible for the grub screw holding the fork onto the shaft to come loose I guess and hold the dog clutch in place.( although IMHO unlikely as there is a big spring on the selector that holds the dog outer onto the diff body so that the clutch drops in.)
The stuff in there is immense and is unlikely to break.
Last resort is to remove the nose of the transfer and have a look. That sounds easy doesn't it. LOL.

Hey this may be way out left field but would a transfercase from a perentie bolt up to an auto box?
with the landy stuff being auctioned off that may be an option?
