Where to mount an ARB compressor in a Defender?

Just curious as to where is the best place to mount an ARB compressor in my Defender. Have a portable one, but the box takes up a lot of space in the back. Am considering the wheel arch in the engine compartment, but am not sure if it is strong enough to take the vibration.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ken

I put mine in with the battery under the passenger seat.

I don't have dual batteries etc, so no issue.

    Re ARB compressor

Under the passenger seat is already taken up with two batteries, and a redarc isolator. I do have a Black Widow roller drawr in the back also, so would one of the storage compartments be ideal?, This would mean moving two (usually wet, and muddy) golden retrievers to access.
    Thanks,

    Ken

Mine is under the passenger side rear seat, just open the door and it is there. Very easy to route all the wires from there as well, plus it stays cool when working and repairs etc are very easily done.

Mine is mounted under the drivers seat, also have an accumulator fitted under the seat. I have a hose connection on the front bar. Need to put an outlet at the rear as my hose does not reach the caravan.

Mine is under the left rear passenger seat. It was installed in that position by ARB.

    Compressor mounting.

    Hi all.
Yes mines under the rear LH passenger seat as well. Easy to get at and out of the way. No room at all in the seat boxes in a 2003 Td5.
