    Question Discovery 2 TD5 Gauges not working *HELP*

    Hi everyone!

    So my Disco has recently decided to play funny buggers with me...

    A quick run down of what's been happening;

    When i turn the ignition on, no lights on the instrument panel are illuminated except for the SRS airbag. (Usually there is several lights on) At this stage the fuel pump gauge is reading empty.

    When the fuel pump finishes it's initial pump and goes silent all the usual check lights on the dash switch on and the fuel gauge shows the correct level only for a split second then goes to empty.

    When i start the car all lights go out, fuel gauge stays on empty along with all the other gauges (Temp, RPM, Speedo etc)

    I've researched other peoples posts who have encountered the same problem but their fixes haven't seemed to work for me. Ive checked/replaced all the fuses related to the dash cluster (10,14 under the hood and 25, 27 and 35 under the dash) I've wiggled as many wires as i could under the dash with no success. Only recently i noticed when the fuel pump is finishing its initial pump thingo everything goes to normal. Except the fuel gauge which only goes normal for a second or two at the most. After seeing this i swapped the fuel pump relay with another relay under the hood incase it was faulty, however the problem still persists.

    It's all very odd. I drove to the shops and everything was working. Then i leave from the shops with no gauges

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Sorry.. forgot to note that all my external lights are working however the indicators don't show up on the dash. Dash illuminated when Park lights / Lights are on

    Check and clean ALL earth points behind kick panels etc as well as engine and chassis.

    And check Oil in ECU harness.

    Involved connector in this symptom (being so many) is C0047/0223 and earth point C0551 which is under the carpet and used to suffer due water ingress, if these are checked and good remove the binnacle and jiggle the connectors at the top of the instrument pack.
