Better fit some decent dimension tyres cos IMO those 270/70/16 tyres will kill the steering boxes one after another taking into account tha extra load on the front you have(revealed in your signature)

You can have fun but i'm very serious, i've seen this happening not once and it's logical for the steering to suffer when it's forced like this, the OP is right when he wants a HD steering box, i'm not gonna argue on this, the bad effect on all systems not just steering of bigger than standard tyres is scientifically demonstrated, i've read tons of documents on that to have arguments when i'm discouraging all my friends from fitting more than 5% bigger than std tyres on family vehicles cos it can be even dangerous, if it's exclusively for off-road i dont care... just a flavour: http://dawsengineering.com/linked_fi...lus_sizing.pdf

Never heard of a 4 bolt box failing despite the multitude of people running offset rims and wide tyres, me included.
