Stefan on here ran his defender on 35s for years without any issues and toured a lot more tough kms around australia than most on this site.

A drive train is only as good as the weakest link. Yeah the salisbury is strong but the rover front will always be the weakest link in any defender. Whats the point in having overkill in the rear if the front is the weakest link?

Also i would argue that once you build a p38 rear and a rover front the weakest link will always be the tailshaft/prop shaft or potentially the gearbox on any defender.

But anyway, cant go wrong with a sals....just more work and $$

Rear diffs take more load and break more often than fronts, so i would rather a rear sals, as i do.
AM runs front and rear ford 9" diffs, hence my comment

I'm convinced a Salisbury is the way to go. One off a 130 preferably. I was looking to fit an E locker, ashcroft axles and flanges. Are the sals readily available to fit a puma with discs,TC+ABS. Any idea the cost.
