but with a panel or two on top ov the van you can leave the battery in there permanently.....
and if its parked out in the sun....the battery will always be charged.....
and if you do mount panels on a van or roof rack.....a good tip is:
try and mount them on a removable frame that can be removed and left out in the sun.....
so your rig or van can be in the shade.......</span>

I've got the SC80 from Drivesafe in My D3. Charges a 2nd Battery in the D3 as well as the battery in the Coromal Camper.
Followed Drivesafe's advice and used Anderson plugs to connect the Car to the Camper.
Looked easy to install, but still will have an Auto Electrician mate install it for me.
Haven't looked into solar yet, but have found the wiring in the Coromal Camper ready for solar connection. Might be an option one day.
