Bosch ve diesel injection pump parts

    Hi,
Not sure if that's the correct place to post my question so please bear with me...
My 300tdi disco is leaaking (what a surprise...). Apparently the source of the leak, or at least some of it, is from the pressure relief valve next to the diesel inlet to the fip.
In my understanding the valve has two o-rings and it might be a good idea to replace them but...
I'm not sure about how safe it is to remove the valve from the pump, it has a special head just for the purpose of stopping people like me tampering with it.
Secondly, those valves are supposed to be quite cheap and it would be a good idea to have a spare one before getting mine out and possibly discovering (no pun intendedl that it is broken...but alas! I can't find any reliable information about it (part number, o-ring size etc.).
It's about my first post here soolease be gentle ; )

I think this is what you are talking about.
There seems to be nothing but the orings to replace.

98% of all Land Rovers built are still on the road.
The other 2% made it home.

Cost difference between Britpart and Genuine seals: £2.04. Knowing that your brakes won't fail at any moment: Priceless.

I missed your replay up untill now. In the meantime I found this: 0 460 414 997, Fuel distributor injection pump BOSCH, 0460414997
Not sure if it's the right pump though.
For me...as expected it is not the only leak so I will take the whole thing to be resealed in a shop...

    Good Tdi pump part source

    Hi Leonard,

Check out this site for Tdi injection pump parts in the UK: http://www.diydieselshop.com/ and his eBay shop. John, the site/shop owner, is very helpful and knowledgeable on Tdi pumps. He sells a range of partial parts kits (such as throttle shaft seals/shaft bush, distributor head seals, etc.) as well as complete re-build kits (a job which is well beyond my pay scale). His DIY guides are excellent. No connection to this business, just a happy return customer.

    Thanks leo109,
As i mentioned before, since this is probably not the only leak I've got, I went for the dull & expensive solution, in which I'm sending the pump to a diesel shop.
This is not proper land rover ownership meterial...but I'd better stick to things that are within my competence level.
BTW the guy at the diesel shop said it's unlikely to have a leak from this part so I think the diesel was dripping from some other place like the cover gasket of the LDA (? The thingy responsible adjusting fueling as a function of boost level).
Thanks again for all the replies ; )
