I have a disco 1998 TDI with air bag, fitted with Land Rover bull bar which do not have provision for a winch and does not look structural appropiated for mounting one as is.

I am looking for options with the $ in mind (pensioner budget).

option one a good and the best value bull bar to replace the original and shop for a winch.

option two a Brawn Port A winch 1000 which cost about $ 1,900 and looks to me a bit dangerous if any of the straps snap.

I would like to be under $ 1900 mark and I will apreciate any coments about this subject and if any member have experience with the Port a Winch.
