    torque settings for rr

    :roll: ok,have got the gaskets for thumper ,now need the torque settings for head and valley cover,the gaskets are the tin ones ,not the normal asbestos(?) type ones,any help welcome 8)

    The tin gaskets are normal, composite are better especially if you dont machine the head or deck surfaces. Head bolts are 65 - 70 lbf and intake manifold are 25-30 lbf.

    and the leyland uses tin .


    Funny thing when i rebuilt my leyland the VGRS set i used had composite head gaskets

    so was i issued the wrong gaskets

    not a problem 2years and still running strong
