MTR/K tyre wear after one weekend in Vic high country...

One weekend worth, long weekend, lots of bitumen driving and lots LOTS of rocky dry tracks and scrambling up rocky steep sections.

Tyre pressures probably weren't quite low enough...oh and this is where I also keep a spare screw in case of emergencies.

Look similar to mine after a few days in the HC, especially when doing steep rocky climbs with the Maxidrives on. I guess you have to see them as "consumables"

Maxidrives plural? Yeah my rear one was on for the climbs and I didn't think this was abnormal wear, I'd much rather the tyre be the thing that wears out than anything else! I really just wanted to put up the pic of the damn screw

That's just the right amount of Maxidrives!

Yeah I liked that screw there, took it to Beaurepairs and they fixed it free because I took out that Beaurepairs insurance on the tyres...kinda wanted them to just replace with a new tyre but they said it was repairable, oh well I've got to hit a bigger screw next time is all!

I got about 50000km out of mine over 10yrs without a single issue, could have gotten more by they were getting old and perished. WOuld have fitted another set if i didnt want to go back to all terrains.

I'm actually surprised how nice they are to drive on! I actually was driving my work ute, a 4x4 BT50 (few years old) and it's got BFG KO2 all terrains on it that I had put on a couple of years ago...they've probably seen about 40,000kms and they still have a fair bit of treat left but they are a fair bit noisier than the MTR/Ks, quite considerably in fact, it surprised me!
