Thread: Does your Bum Sag on one side?

Black Betty has a stuffed RHR shocky,perhaps if left for long enough the spring will sag.

I am not that familiar with Discos, but like most Landrovers they have long travel suspension, and to allow articulation there is not a lot of roll control, so to sit level they need to have the springs the right length for load on that side. If you regularly carry an unusual left/right load distribution, there will eventually be a lean one way or the other.
If it is like the Defender, the left and right springs are not the same, and if they are swapped - it will lean.

My 1998 Disco had a definite lean - I'm sure that the spare tyre on the right, the battery on the right (assuming not dual batteries like mine was for the first 3 years of life) and the driver on the right all played a part in that.

I got a OME springs and shock a few months ago and it seems level.

Yes I had a good 20-30mm sag on the rear RHS. did the springs and shocks at 80K and nothing since. The shockers were still functioning but the spring when sat beside the other rear spring was about 10mm difference.

LR actually brought out a slightly taller spring for the O/S/R to counteract your sagging problem.
Or you could just call it character .

Yep My RR went through 2 sets of springs before i got it level. Being two years now and its started again. had non LR springs in so that has not help ever my car has been nicnamed [b]<span style="color:darkred">Ilean</span>
from the lean it first had.
