IMHO, the best trailing arm chassis bush I've seen/used is the Super Pro one. Chamfered on the front and rear faces (ie. the trailing arm and nut ends) and a large groove around the circumference of the bush allows excellent flex without stressing the bush, and the durometer of polyurethane they've used greatly reduces the rear steer/roll steer inherent in a slightly worn OE one (which happens pretty quickly from new)

    Unfortunately, I don't have a piccy.

poly bushes transfer to much shock to the chassy and causes cracking.

polies can be flogged out in a week end.

on road they are great. off road NOPE.

C'mon Michael, you haven't even seen the design of the bush I'm talking about, that's a hell of a blanket statement
Polyurethane can be had in a myriad of durometers, from very soft to very hard. There are also places where it isn't very good, such as rotating bushes, but one of its strong suits is in compression. Fulcrum are pretty switched on with their designs, and I've had a number of long chats with their engineers.
I installed Nolathane bushes in the springs and shackles in my CJ6 Jeep 20 years ago and they were flogged out in 5,000km. The wrong place and wrong durometer of bush. I went back to OE quick smart.

FWIW, my Fulcrum/Super Pro trailing arm bushes have done 100,000km of hard on and off road use and they are fine. All the other bushes are OE.

    im with you rick,

i put super pro radius arm bushes in the front of DW, alot of
folks told me not to. would not flex would chop out ect. well they did 15000k and were still as good as new when i sold it.
dont know about the flex issue?? had plenty of that too.

rick does fulcrum make the rear bush you talk about?? ive only
seen it in the pommy LR mags.
    its design is spot on.

also mick, just looking at the top pic, does the chassis mount kick forward
at the bottom, eg the mount on the chassis is not verticle??
the reason i ask is the ones on the 90 are in line with the arm, eg the mount isnt verticle. cant rember what the disco ones look like??

    cheers phil

Phil, Fulcrum do make the bush I've described, one of their engineers designed it. (can't remember his name ops: )
With their Landy bushes, they work in with one of the large Land Rover workshops just down the road from them that rockcrawl, as well as tour, etc. They re-design the bush to perform better than stock on and off road, not just copy the OE one in a harder duro poly, which will do as Michael suggested.
Also, I fibbed a bit, I think the bushes have only done @ 80,000km, and I forgot I've gone against my own advice and used their bushes in the chassis end of the 'A' frame. I used a good moly grease on those, not the supplied stuff, and they've been fine for 50,000km. Again, it's a different design to stock. All the other ones are stock, although some Haultech slotted ones are going in the front radius arms soon.
