    Brisbane: machining brake drums, where to go, what should it cost?

    Hi guys,

    any idea where in Brisbane and surrounds I can drop off my 4x brake drums to get machined and how much should it roughly cost?

    Any brake specialist or mechanical workshop with a brake lathe can do this. Failing this, any machine shop can bung drums up on a centre lathe big enough to swing them and skim them out. Not rocket science. I always did my truck drums on the 8' Colchester I had then.
