If you didn't read it I got the cheap one to pass a RWC thinking id get enough out of it before getting a uni joint. It's my workhorse and bushpig so it cops a beating the vibrations don't matter as long as their not coming from a busted Rotoflex [emoji1] I'm sure there's one out there capable of it but I'm still on the uni side

Yeah true there about at thick as a toothpick and the teeth arnt that flash either! Just going off my experience with the failed (cheaper) roto, rather that than an axle any day!

They however put up a warning for racing use only as vibration issues.

Good grief. So those crappy rubber u-joints are still in use. They were a bloody disaster in the 60's when I first came across them in Commer trucks and Hillman Imps.

Hahaha yes they do indeed, They came from from rag joints in steering collums then some goose from alfa thought it would be a good idea to use them instead of a uni glad something else thinks they are poxy

No they are actually very good in German made GKN form. Read my post above as to service in mine and I'm not alone. Most people get.very good service and no vibes from them. I hate driveline vibrations. Cheers

Did you have to buy a whole prop shaft or could you modify the existing one to take the UJ? Or get one off a defender or something?

Earlier RRC models (up to around 1990) all run a suitable uni jointed shaft, not exactly hard to find. I had to modify a LSE shaft for rear uni use on that though, not particularly hard to get done.

Thanks mate I'll look into it I have a feeling the early 3.5 d1s had it also havnt done a lot a lot a research into yet but I'll keep the rrc in mind. I guess all I have to do I throw a tape over it and find one that's gonna cut the mustard at the wreckers otherwise.
