High Engine & Exhaust Temperatures - P76 V8
I'm getting high engine temperatures (90degC+ - up to 105 before I shut it off) and really high exhaust temperatures. The exhaust got so hot it started melting the insulation off the power cabling to the starter motor!
The car has been sitting idle for about 2 months due me not using it (injury - don't ask!), so I took the time to swap the throttle body out for a Holley Sniper and am just getting it going (learning).
As part of the Holley Sniper install, I had to grind off/drill out the WBO2 bung as it had rusted solid. When I got about halfway through, I drilled the bung and it fell into the exhaust...
I plan on testing the thermostat first and ensuring the timing is set at about 10-12degC@idle.
Any other ideas/things to test?
