Has anyone watched the 4WD monthly DVD on “Discover Tasmania”? The host presenter runs through the various modifications to his Suzuki Sierra 3.8L Commodore V6 conversion.
I am particularly interested in the air intake. It appears the air arrived from some sort of pod filter on the roof via a vacuum hose straight into the throttle body of the EFI power plant. Can you stick a pod type filter on the inlet of a snorkel without an air box in between?
Recently converting to a Holly carb I would also like to run a snorkel but have run out of idea’s on the type of filtering system to introduce as a 1981 does not have an air box.
May be OK as long as it does not hinder airflow and upset the MAF sensor. personally if i was going to go to this expens I would just put a Donaldson pre cleaner on.
