Oooh..300tdis...timing belts. Makes me appreciate the raucous carcophony from my old 200tdi.

hey simon....that belt dont look too bad.....
just check the new one in a few thousand kms....(if its easy to get to)...
just to be sure its fitted correctly......
the used belt is always good to carry as a spare for trips.....
however..if a new belt is only around the thirty dollar mark....
(probably not for a land rover).....its better to carry a new one....

Yeah, I was thinking about keeping it.
Then I thought that if the old one snapped the LR wouldn't be going anywhere soon. Is this not the case?
Cheers
Simon.

Not a good look.
The modification kit was fitted at the same time as this belt was changed.
I just hope they were aware of the changed torque setting prescribed otherwise I might be photographing a strap next time.
