    Bigger 300tdi

    Hi, just a quick question if the Hs2.8 engine i keep hearing about is really just a reworked 300tdi, could you get the same result by boring and stroking the 300tdi out to 2.8ltr.

    I doubt it. Among other differences is a variable geometry turbocharger (now you probably could fit it to your 300tdi) and by the time you fitted this plus the boring and stroking, plus new EMS you would still have to find the other changes they may have made for good reason, such as perhaps revised oil pump, water pump etc.
