    SOLAR REGULATORS

    ok i have 2 solar panels about 8 watt i think can i hook these 2 panels thru one regulator

    i dont know which size reg i need ect 5 amp or 20 amp so many different choices .
    i would like the panels to at least put some charge back in to my aux batt when im camping

    You can use two panels on one regulator. Two 8w panels will only be 16w, little more than 1 amp, so a 5amp regulator is perfectly adequate. In fact, you probably don't need a regulator at all - just a blocking diode, which may be included in the panels, as the charge of typically 1 amp for about 1/3 of each day will be no more than the maintaining charge for a typical battery, and certainly won't overcharge it if you are using any power.

    No regulator required for those two panels. Just hook them up in Parallel and place a diode on the output of each panel.
